The second session of Life’s Simple 7 was held on February 21, 2019 at Hope Charter Leadership Academy hosted by the Health and Human Services Facet. The topic was Heart Month – Hands Only CPR with Wake County EMS and WakeMed onsite to instruct the students on how to place a call to 911 and how to administer life-saving hands only CPR. The interactive session included the “script” to use when calling for help and the procedure for administering CPR. WakeMed provided enough mannequins for each student to have one to practice on. Based on the questions and excitement, the students enjoyed the session.
