The Health & Human Service Facet of the Raleigh (NC) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated hosted “A Virtual Health Experience” on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11:00 am. Cardiovascular diseases kill nearly 50,000 African American women annually. Cultural factors influence mental health in women of color. An expert presentation on heart disease and mental health awareness in women of color was given by Chelsea Ngongang, MD, FACC, WakeMed Heart and Vascular, General and Interventional Cardiology and Nerissa Price, MD, Medical Director, WakeMed Physician Practices, Well-Being Initiaties. Door prizes of $25, $50, $75 and $100 VISA gift cards were awarded to participants.
