January 26, 2020 - 21 and Done Film Screening

The Arts Facet hosted a free screening of the film ’21 and Done’ which addresses the challenges of aging out of the Foster Care System. Twenty-one is a celebrated age for many young Americans, but if you’re aging out of the Foster Care system, the countdown to homelessness can feel more like a ticking time bomb. What should be an age for celebrating adulthood becomes a time of anxiety, desperation and danger for many of these young adults.

The film screening was held on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Martin Street Baptist Church. It was well attended with 70 participants including 27 members of the Raleigh (NC) Chapter. The event included a panel discussion moderated by Janine Rouson and refreshments afterwards.
