October 16, 2019 - Healthy Heart Lunch at Hope Center at Pullen

On October 16th, the Services to Youth and Health & Human Services Facets hosted a “Healthy Heart” lunch discussion at Hope Center at Pullen for 10 students ages 18 to 24 and HCAP staff members. The Hope Center at Pullen connects young people aging out of foster care in Wake County with the resources and support they need for a successful transition to adulthood.

Donna Demby (STY chair) introduced President Brenda Lewis, Dominique Brown (HHS chair), Dee Darkes (HHS Speaker) and Gina Holt (HHS) to the group for our discussion. We enjoyed a balanced meal of chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, fresh fruit and cheese for dessert with the students and staff members.
