During Shaw University’s Annual Homecoming Gala on October 22, 2021, Raleigh (NC) Chapter President, Brenda M. Lewis (right) presented Dr. Paulette Dillard, Shaw University’s President, the chapter’s annual donation of $4,500. In addition, the chapter awarded certain students $3,000.00 in scholarships during 2021 from a grant sponsored by the PNC Foundation. Chapter President Brenda Lewis stated, “these additional scholarships were given in conjunction with our Southern Area’s Class Act (Collegiate Links Award for Service and Scholarship) and their HBCU Initiative which takes into consideration a student’s service as well as scholarship.”
